Overview

At Revo, data protection is foundational to everything we build. Our platform is designed with enterprise-grade security and compliance from the ground up, so you can confidently connect your business tools, record meetings, and automate email drafting knowing your information is safe and never misused.

Why this matters for email:
When Revo drafts emails using your business context (meetings, projects, customer data), that sensitive information is processed under strict security controls. Your proprietary knowledge, customer conversations, and strategic decisions remain completely private to your organization.

Certifications & Compliance

Revo holds independently audited certifications that meet international standards for data security and privacy:

ISO 27001 – Information Security Management
Ensures systematic controls for protecting sensitive business data across all systems and processes.

ISO 27701 – Privacy Information Management
Demonstrates compliance with privacy best practices and GDPR requirements for personal data handling.

SOC 2 Type 2 – Security, Availability & Confidentiality
Independent audit of our operational controls, proving we maintain security standards consistently over time.

GDPR Compliant
Full compliance with European data protection regulations, ensuring lawful processing, user rights, and data minimization.

Your Data, Your Control

No Third-Party Sharing

Your data is never sold, shared, or repurposed. Revo operates on a strict privacy-first model where your business intelligence remains exclusively yours.

No AI Training Usage

We never use customer data to train AI models. Your meetings, documents, projects, and email context are processed to provide you with answers but are never fed into model training pipelines. This applies to all connected AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)

Strict Data Segregation

Each customer's data is logically isolated at the database and application layers. Your Intelligence Modules, email drafts, and workspace knowledge are completely separate from other organizations. No cross-tenant data access is possible

Granular Permission Controls

Revo respects your existing tool permissions. If you don't have access to a Confluence page or Google Drive file in your native tools, Revo won't be able to see it either. Personal integrations ensure email drafts only reference data you're authorized to view

Why Enterprise Security Matters for Product Teams

Product teams handle some of the most sensitive business data:

  • Unreleased roadmaps and strategic plans

  • Customer feedback and interview transcripts

  • Proprietary technical specifications

  • Competitive analysis and market research

  • Internal team discussions and decision rationale

Revo ensures this data is protected so your team can focus on building products, not worrying about security risks, compliance violations, or data leaks.

For email intelligence specifically:
When Revo drafts customer replies using internal meeting context or project status, that sensitive information is processed under the same strict security controls. You can safely automate email responses without exposing confidential business data.

Data Retention & Deletion

You Control Your Data

Export anytime: Download your documents on PDF format or your meetings recordings.

Delete on demand: Remove meetings, documents, or entire workspaces with immediate effect

What Happens When You Disconnect

Integrations: Revo stops pulling new data immediately. Historical insights remain unless you delete them manually.

Account deletion: All your data (Intelligence Modules, documents, meetings, issues) is permanently deleted within 30 days of account closure.

Discussing Confidential Information

Revo is designed to respect your privacy and maintain appropriate information boundaries within your organization. However, you should be mindful of where you discuss sensitive topics.

Safe spaces for confidential discussions:

  • Revo Chat – Your personal chat interface is completely private

  • 1-on-1 Slack conversations with Revo – Direct messages are never shared with other team members

  • Private meetings – Mark meetings as private in your calendar settings to restrict access to invited attendees only

What to avoid: Do not add Revo to private Slack channels that contain information you don't want accessible to other team members. While Revo respects user permissions, the safest approach for highly sensitive data is to keep it out of shared channels entirely.

For executives and sensitive roles: If you regularly handle confidential information (HR, Finance, C-Suite), we recommend creating a separate Revo workspace (e.g., "Revo Leadership") or using an individual Revo workspace. This creates a clear boundary between general team knowledge and information that should remain restricted to specific individuals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Revo processes your data to provide intelligence and email drafts but never uses it for model training. This is contractually guaranteed with all AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)

Can other Revo customers see my data?

No. Your workspace is logically isolated. Other organizations using Revo cannot access your Intelligence Modules, documents, meetings, or any business data.

What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?

Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation to allow for re-activation. After 30 days, all data (Intelligence Modules, documents, meetings, projects) is permanently deleted from our systems.

Can I discuss confidential or sensitive information with Revo?

Yes, but only in specific secure spaces:

  • Revo Chat – All conversations in Revo's chat interface are private to you

  • 1-on-1 Slack DMs with Revo – Direct messages between you and Revo are not shared with your team

  • Private Meetings – Meetings marked as private in your calendar are only accessible to invited attendees

Important: Revo should not be added to private Slack channels that contain sensitive data you don't want shared with the rest of your team.

If you're in HR, Finance, or the C-Suite and regularly handle confidential information, we recommend creating a separate Revo workspace (e.g., "Revo Leadership") or an individual Revo workspace to maintain strict information boundaries.
